Sciatica & Nerve Pain

A Team-Based Approach to Relief, Recovery & Better Movement

Sciatica and nerve pain can be sharp, burning, shooting, or achy—and they’re some of the most common concerns we treat at The Health Collective – Baden. These symptoms can disrupt walking, sitting, sleep, and daily activities. Our goal is to understand why the nerve is irritated and create a plan that helps reduce pain, restore mobility, and prevent flare-ups.

At our clinic, chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, osteopathic practitioners, and acupuncture providers all contribute unique strengths. Depending on your needs, your treatment plan may include:

  • Physiotherapy – improving hip and lower back mobility, nerve mobility, and functional strength

  • Chiropractic care – addressing spinal and pelvic mechanics, joint irritation, and nerve compression patterns

  • Massage therapy – reducing muscular tension, trigger points, and gluteal/piriformis tightness

  • Osteopathy – improving whole-body movement, pelvic balance, and tissue fluidity

  • Acupuncture – decreasing nerve pain, reducing inflammation, and calming the nervous system

  • Exercise & rehab programs – progressive strengthening, mobility work, and long-term nerve resilience

What Causes Sciatica & Nerve Pain?

Sciatica occurs when the sciatic nerve—or one of the spinal nerves that form it—becomes irritated or compressed. This can result from disc injuries, joint dysfunction, muscle tension (such as the piriformis), inflammation, posture stress, or previous injuries.
Our team identifies the source of the irritation and designs a plan specific to your pattern of symptoms.

Every patient receives a personalized, goal-oriented plan—built collaboratively across professions when needed. You don’t have to choose your provider alone: our team will guide you to the right care at the right time.

If nerve pain is limiting your mobility, comfort, or quality of life, we’re here to help. Book an appointment today and start moving toward lasting relief.

Sciatica & Nerve Pain FAQ

  • Sciatica refers to pain caused by irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve. This can create symptoms anywhere from the lower back and glutes down to the foot.

  • Common causes include disc irritation, joint inflammation, muscle tension, piriformis syndrome, or postural strain. Our team determines the specific cause before treating it.

  • It depends on what’s driving your symptoms. Our practitioners will guide you to the right provider—and coordinated care often provides the best results.

  • Most patients do not. Imaging is usually only recommended if symptoms are severe, progressive, or persistent after conservative care. If needed, we will refer appropriately.

  • Some patients feel relief within a few treatments, while others need a structured rehab plan over several weeks. Recovery time depends on the severity and cause of symptoms.

  • Strengthening, mobility work, ergonomic changes, and proper movement patterns can reduce recurrence. We’ll help you build long-term strategies for nerve health.
