Michael McLeod

P.T., BSc Hons Kin, MSC PT

Physiotherapist

Mike has been providing physiotherapy care to the Wilmot community since 2017. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, where he also participated in the Honours Co-op program. During this time, Mike gained experience across a diverse range of settings, from biomechanics research to designing exercise programs for individuals undergoing cancer treatment.

He went on to complete his Master of Physiotherapy at McMaster University, where his clinical placements further broadened his experience in orthopaedics, acute hospital care, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Throughout his undergraduate studies, Mike played rugby with both the University of Waterloo and the Waterloo County Rugby Football Club. His background in sport and fitness gives him extensive experience across a wide range of athletic and physical activities. Mike’s approach to care focuses on providing patients with the tools they need to perform effective home exercise programs, while balancing hands-on manual therapy with individualized exercise management. He believes empowering patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation is key to long-term success.

Outside of the clinic, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and extended family. He has a strong passion for staying active through sports and personal fitness, and also enjoys reading, music, and spending time outdoors. We are grateful to have Mike as an integral part of our team and value his dedication to making a positive impact within the community.
